Who Is Eligible? 

So who can take advantage of this exciting discount? The GM Employee Discount is available to all current and retired GM and GM Financial employees. These individuals can sponsor the following eligible people: 

  • Spouses or domestic partners
  • Children and stepchildren
  • Grandchildren and step-grandchildren
  • Parents and stepparents
  • Grandparents, including in-law and step-grandparents
  • Siblings, including full, half, and step-siblings
  • Mothers- and fathers-in-law
  • Sons- and daughters-in-law
  • Aunts and uncles
  • Nieces and nephews
  • Brothers- and sisters-in-law

For a domestic partner to qualify, they must be registered through Fidelity. However, such individuals do not need to enroll in GM benefits. Widows and widowers of former GM employees must furnish their late spouses’ last pay stubs or W2 forms, and proof of marriage. Accepted proof includes obituaries and death certificates. 

All spouses or relations of current and former GM employees must complete the Family First authorization form. 

Which GM Vehicles Are Eligible?

Most GM cars, SUVs, crossovers, light-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks, passenger vans, and cargo vans are eligible. We suggest checking your desired vehicle’s eligibility before moving forward with your purchase! GM occasionally places restrictions on certain new models. Additionally, the program does not apply to previously purchased or leased vehicles. 

You do not have to purchase your vehicle with GM Financial! Complete your purchase or lease with any financial institution.
